Tour Sevilla en el cine is a 3-hour guided tour that offers a unique experience for movie lovers. We’ll take you to explore the stunning locations and sets that have been featured in famous movies and TV series. You’ll discover interesting trivia and behind-the-scenes stories of the most iconic scenes, and reminisce about the performances of renowned actors and actresses from all over the world. Sevilla has become a huge film and television set, thanks to its numerous photogenic locations and spaces. The city has shared the spotlight with a long list of national and international acting professionals such as Peter O’Toole, Anthony Quinn, Sean Connery, Sigourney Weaver, Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, Warren Beatty, Viggo Mortensen, Elena Anaya, Javier Cámara, Juan Echanove, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Paco León, Gerard Depardieu, Yves Montand, Armand Assante, and many more.
Many directors, such as Ridley Scott, David Lean, James Mangold, or Agustín Díaz Yanes, among many others, have also focused their lenses on Sevilla and succumbed to the charms of its light. Our private guided tour begins at the Real Alcázar, the millenary palace that has been the setting for countless series and movies. We will pass through the Lion Gate to enter the setting of famous series such as Game of Thrones, La Peste or Emerald City. The big screen has also brought us corners of the Alcázar, such as Lawrence of Arabia, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, Kingdom of Heaven, the life of Christopher Columbus, Requiem for Granada, Carmen, Alatriste, Where Are You Going, Alfonso XII?
Let’s continue our cinematic stroll through the Santa Cruz neighborhood, the picturesque opera district, where scenes from films such as Carmen, Knight and Day, and Nobody Knows Anybody were shot.
Continuing on our tour, we will cross the Murillo Gardens to approach the Tobacco Factory, which was the setting for the film Carmen.
Lastly, as the grand finale, we will visit the Plaza de España, the backdrop for major productions such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Dictator, and Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.
